HSBC, the global, local bank is looking for individuals who, like them, want to help UK businesses get back on their feet. Our Commercial Customer Associate (CCA) position in Client Services you will be the voice of HSBC and the first point of contact via the telephone for our commercial customers.
You should be passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience, be ambitious and have a helpful personality. Previous Customer Service experience is essential, but do not worry if you do not have banking experience, we can teach you everything you need to know. To be successful we are looking for people who are resilient and can work in a busy contact centre environment, people who can hold conversations with customers and have a genuine passion for going above and beyond expectations.
You will be based at one of the in-bound contact centres, within a team and will regularly get support and coaching.
When & where you’ll work
This role is full-time, contracted to 35 hours a week, 5 out of 6 days. Successful applicants must be able to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months. Flexibility is required as you will be working between the hours of 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 2pm on Saturday when our customers need us the most.
Working with the team in LEICESTER on a rotational shift pattern you will be part of a team that is able to collaborate, interact and support one another as you assist our business customers. Being in our office together in one place enables you to collectively create an inclusive, productive workplace.
We operate a hybrid working environment, which means that after your probation there could be the opportunity to work a minimum of three days in the office and some work at home, so it’s important you are able to do both. To be able to work from home you will need to have a suitable home office set up, which includes a desk and a chair in a location which is safe, secure and free from the interruptions of day to day life. We will provide you with the technology required to do your role.
Working as a Commercial Customer Associate you will:
1. Exclusively be speaking with our Commercial Banking customers, supporting them with their everyday banking queries
2. Be building strong relationships by listening to their needs and delivering solutions that helps to grow their business
3. Deliver our customer centric approach, through the embracing of technology and demonstrations of digital servicing solutions
4. Take ownership to resolve customers queries at first point of contact
What do I need to be successful in this role?
1. Practical experience of working in a customer service environment, we will train you on how to operate in our Commercial Banking call centre
2. The ability to build a relationship and rapport with excellent verbal communication skills
3. A team player that is happy to collaborate and deliver on common goals
4. Problem-solving skills the ability to think on your feet and create solutions for our customers
5. Willingness to take ownership
6. Self-led enthusiasm to grow, succeed and learn - We’re passionate about you and your career
7. Excellent attendance, time keeping, reliability and enthusiasm are all essential skills for this role

This is a fantastic opportunity for those of you looking to develop their customer service skills into the financial services sector.
The intended start date for this role is February 2025 located in LEICESTER. Our training lasts 8 weeks from this date which you will need to be available for. At the end of this you will be able to provide first-class support to our customers.
This role does not qualify for visa sponsorship as it does not meet the UK Government salary nor skill threshold.
