The difference you will make as a Finance SME
You will be the Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Oracle Project (the Project) for all R2R processes. The Project will deliver a major change to the way Riverside manages all finance activity, improving the processes and providing colleagues with a tier 1 ERP system. This will require careful consideration to accounting transactions and reporting and the ability to change these to maximise the benefit from the new system. You will be the conduit between the Project team and Group Finance, working with the different teams to ensure their needs are captured and understood by the Project. You will also work closely with our implementation partner, ensuring that the system design meets the needs of the Finance R2R teams.
You will need a good understanding of how the different teams, processes, and systems within Group Finance work. This includes the chart of accounts, reporting requirements and payment systems.

Role Profile
* Work with all stakeholders within Group Finance to ensure the Project captures their needs in line with the Project Brief, including budget holders.
* Identify process improvements based around Oracle functionality.
* Identify automation opportunities based around Oracle functionality.
* Document the impact of any changes on Group Finance processes and systems.
* Maintain a good working relationship with all Group Finance stakeholders, keeping an open dialogue with them.
* Attend project meetings and provide input into monthly project reporting (e.g. risks and issue updates).
* Where required, work with other teams within Riverside to assess the impact of changes.
* Work with our implementation partner to design and configure Oracle.
* Recommend Oracle configuration and design based on the key design decisions for the R2R processes.
* Using Oracle training manuals, adapt for Riverside functionality for training purposes.
* Produce test plans and conditions to be tested and support UAT for R2R.
* Provide training to Finance colleagues.
* Provide support to Finance colleagues during the hypercare and implementation phases of the project.

Essential

* Have an in-depth knowledge of Group Finance R2R processes and systems.
* Demonstrable experience of supporting finance projects, with the ability to show initiative and propose solutions to issues identified by yourself.
* Analytical experience.
* Demonstrable a strong knowledge of the use of MS Office including Excel and Word to an intermediate level or above.
* An understanding of current finance systems and how there are currently used by Riverside.
Desirable:
* Part qualified finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT).
* Knowledge or practical experience of working in multiple finance disciplines.
* Experience working in a business partner environment.
