Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead and manage mechanical engineering aspects across all project phases, from feasibility studies to detailed design and delivery. Your role will involve:
1. Leading technical decision-making and project management.
2. Collaborating with clients to address complex engineering challenges.
3. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
4. Driving project activities in hydrogen storage, power generation, and industrial decarbonisation.
Technical Responsibilities:
1. Conducting pipe stress analysis, pressure part design, and high-temperature component life assessments.
2. Developing and reviewing engineering specifications to ensure the highest quality standards.
3. Overseeing site surveys, operational assessments, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
4. Creating detailed design calculations and supporting plant layout and pipeline routing decisions.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Master’s degree (MEng/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Chartered Engineer status with IMechE (preferred).
3. Strong technical background in mechanical engineering within regulated industries such as power, oil & gas, or chemical sectors.
4. Proficiency in pipe stress analysis and pressure component design.
5. Experience in pipeline routing, plant layout design, and site surveys.
6. Ability to write and review engineering and equipment specifications.
7. Knowledge of fitness-for-service assessments and high-temperature component life assessment.
