CAMHS Administrator – for GP Primary Care

We are excited to recruit a Band 3 Administrator to support our CAMHS in GP Primary Care Service and the Getting Help Team East Berkshire. The role is full time Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, on an 18-month fixed term contact (FTC).

Main duties of the job
You will support the effective operation of the CAMHS in GP Service (ARRS). Providing the required administrative support to ensure that clinical services are delivered efficiently, and children, young people and families receive a seamless and timely service.
Working as part of the administrative team to ensure the referrals process is carried out in an accurate and timely manner. You will answer emails and telephone calls, following up actions where required.
You will liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, external organisations, and the public, dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner.
You will need to be experienced in taking minutes at meetings, diary management and confident in using the full Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
You will also be required to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a willingness to help others as a key member of the team.
The ability to build effective relationships, with a flexible approach to work is essential.

Education/Qualifications/Training
* Basic level of healthcare administration knowledge
* Previous knowledge and experience of working in an office and/or customer care environment
* Knowledge and experience of software programs/packages and a full range of administrative functions and duties (including digital dictation, taking minutes, and noting actions)
Continuous Professional Development
* Evidence of ongoing training/development
Previous Experience
* Experience of working with a CAMHS Team or Mental Health provision
Knowledge and skills
* Good interpersonal, communication, observation, and reporting skills
* Able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others as well as being able to cope with distressing circumstances
* Ability to use a practical problem solving approach in everyday situations
* Good/advanced IT skills and the ability to navigate around various systems and software packages (such as outlook, databases, MS office and the internet)
* Able to work flexibly on a shift pattern as required and the ability to travel independently between locations to fulfil the requirements of the position
* Ability to work effectively in a team, work on own initiative, work unsupervised and manage own workload
Additional Requirements
* Assist in the provision of basic (non-clinical) customer care support to service users with challenging behaviours, as required.
* Ability to travel to multiple sites if and when required
