Duties
1. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and quality of goods.
2. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favourable agreements.
3. Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
4. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and new products.
5. Analyse supplier performance and implement improvements where necessary.
6. Prepare reports on purchasing activities and present findings to management.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in a buying or procurement role within a supply chain environment.
2. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
3. Familiarity with logistics processes and supply chain management principles.
4. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
