Strathmore College is recruiting for a catering supervisor for our Cafe in Stoke.
Please note the working days for this role are 3 days a week, including both Saturday and Sunday with one day in the week.
We are looking for passionate people who can support the provision of the catering operation, assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene, and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People.
In this role, you will take responsibility for parts of the catering operation, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures.
This role will involve working as a catering supervisor at an offsite Cafe run by the college. Please note, the role will include weekend working.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment along with the following characteristics:
* Communication: Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication play a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
* Organisation: You will need to be confident and organised in updating menus, dietary requirements, and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
* Attentive: No young person is the same, so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
