The Client: Global Alternatives House The Location: London The Opportunity: As our client launches their first CLO fund – they have created a new position for an experienced CLO Ops candidate to set up and run their CLO Ops function. First hire of what will become a large team over the months – candidate will need to be comfortable driving the function and working at a top senior level. The Responsibilities: Set up and manage the CLO Ops function Establish 3rd party provider and agency relationships, as well as structuring the necessary internal systems/processes Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations, reconciliation, and compliance tasks involved in the lifecycle of CLOs, from warehouse stage to securitization, ensuring accurate reporting, efficient processes, and high-quality service delivery. Coordinate and oversee warehouse facilities and CLO deal closings, working closely with PMs, underwriters, and placement agents up until the closing date. Work closely together with internal teams (portfolio management, operations, legal, compliance/risk, tax, etc.), 3rd party providers and Trustee. Primary contact for internal and external partners, including portfolio managers, risk and compliance and service providers. The Role: Ideally has set up a CLO Operations function previously/ ability to step up into this position Extensive experience managing day-to-day CLO operations whilst also being able to strategically manage the team Has worked closely with CLO portfolio managers as well as broader PE/PD/PC deals teams Hands-on experience with managing hypothetical trading processes, building, and reviewing models for CLO indenture level tests, criteria, and credit classifications. Managing CLO warehouse portfolio ramp-up and full CLO cycle experience from warehouse to securitization, effective date through post-reinvestment period. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
