Electrical Design Engineer
sought, Exeter / Plymouth. Build Maintain Recruit are actively seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with in excess of 2 + years post grad experience designing electrical services for an array of schemes both in the UK and internationally.
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We are recruiting for a talented individual to join our clients' offices, based in either Plymouth or Exeter.
What you'll do:
In this role, you’ll play a key part in the design and delivery of multiple projects, with a focus on technical excellence and quality. You’ll lead the electrical design of various systems such as lighting, LV supply, fire alarms, and more, ensuring each project is delivered from inception to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Producing high-quality designs, drawings, and Revit models
2. Preparing electrical design calculations, specifications, and tender documents
3. Participating in design meetings, progress reviews, and site inspections
4. Coordinating with internal and external teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors
5. Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety requirements and quality assurance standards
What we’re looking for:
1. You’ll need to be experienced in electrical design (grad + 2 years), with the ability to deliver projects across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial developments, to name a few.
We’re looking for someone with:
1. Strong technical expertise, including proficiency in Amtech Pro, Dialux, Revit, and AutoCAD
2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate
3. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
4. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field) and ideally, engineering accreditation (IEng or equivalent)
