My client is a global utilizes powerhouse currently embarking upon a significant period of growth and transformation, having secured an exciting portfolio of major construction & infrastructure projects.
As part of the organisations global growth and passionate net-zero agenda, this role will lead a team of 15 globally on projects across the direct spend portfolio, such as interconnectors and converter cables, on major construction programs.
This newly created position will be joining at an early stage of the exciting growth program and will have the influence to lead new $multibillion project from inception to completion.
As the Senior Procurement Leader, your responsibilities will include:
* Set global category strategy across the end-to-end sourcing process from supplier engagement through to contract award
* Entering during a time of change and growth, you will build relationships with stakeholders globally to help get the category up and running and drive new initiatives
* Working for a purpose led organisation with a strong desire to drive renewables and carbon cutting programs, your responsibilities will include driving this standard and keeping net-zero targets at the forefront of your team and the wider organizations targets
* Engage and drive critical relationships with suppliers, implement contract management strategies, ensuring business needs are met
* Develop and excellent relationship with c-suite executives within the business globally
* Successfully lead and develop your team of category managers/buyers
Skillset required:
* Significant experience as a procurement leader within global matrix organisations
* Highly adept in working on large scale construction/infrastructure programs and managing category strategies
* Experience working on major bids for commercial projects
* Experienced within the utilities or related industries that have major complex capital programs
* Experience in people management, with a track record of developing and retaining staff
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to operate with pace & agility
