We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Senior Structures Engineer (Rail) to join our dynamic CEFA team in Southern England - Remote working.
In this role, you will support the Regional Structures Engineer in the reviewing and submission of examination reports within Southern Region. This will include risk scoring and recommendations, in accordance with the contract specification and timescales.
You will assist in any investigations and incidents related to structures examination activities and provide technical support and advice relative to these incidents.
This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with Amey, who have worked continuously with Network Rail delivering aspects of the CEFA contracts since 2009.
What You'll Do:
1. Work as a part of the RSE (South) reviewing team across all 3 routes in the Southern Region (Kent, Sussex and Wessex).
2. Support the CEFA Project Director, Engineering Assurance and Development and the Regional Structures Engineer by striving to apply a consistent and unified approach to reviewing in line with the technical specification and in the application of risk scoring.
3. Ensure that all reports are reviewed and submitted to NR to meet all technical requirements and timescales.
4. Undertake 'Supervising Engineer' duties for both STE2 and STE4 competencies, as directed by the Regional Structures Engineer.
