Support the delivery of the Sustainability Strategy and support action plans, including, but not limited to, the Trust Travel Plan, Decarbonisation Action Plan (DAP), biodiversity enhancements plan which deliver projects which deliver carbon reduction in line with the Trust net zero carbon ambitions The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery the site based Sustainability Implementation Plan and provide project and administrative support to the Sustainability team, with a responsibility for data entry, word processing, storage of data and maintenance of databases To work in accordance with the requirements of WHTMs, HBNs, British Standards, Model Specifications and all Statutory Regulations, Codes of Practice and Trust Policies Support the management of Trust Environmental Management System and ISO14001:2015 requirements, including external audit Support the Trusts Sustainability team in the delivery of wider carbon reduction activity in line with the Trust and Integrated Care Systems Green Plan and Trust documents including the Sustainable Development Policy, Sustainable Development Management Plan and Climate Change Adaptation Plan. Support the Sustainability Manager with the preparation of a value focused metering strategy and implement smart data collection and analytics process to support the energy and carbon reduction outlined within the Sustainability Strategy Support the Trust to ensure it is legally compliant with all environmental related legislative obligations including the Environmental Wales Act Regulations,, Display Energy Certificates and Waste Regulations (new and emerging). Administer meetings, workshops and events by drafting concise and factual minutes Engage with and staff/patient/donors groups on sustainability projects and develop and manage the associated external communications, including a dedicated website to sustainability. Prepare and complete routine and ad-hoc reports required to various Boards and Committees Assist in the implementation of policies, strategies & projects that will contribute to achieving national, regional and Trust Sustainability Strategy targets these include but are not limited to carbon footprint, energy, utilities, travel and transport, clean air, biodiversity and sustainability communications. To benchmark consumption data and contribute to managing the Trusts carbon footprint, through proactive identification of raised consumption achieved through active management. Produce evaluation reports for each project that identify any return on investment, carbon reduction and the effect on key stakeholders (including patients and donors). Write and produce project documentation and relevant materials, including digital communications, reports, internal and internal funding bids and committee papers in conjunction with senior team members. The Energy & Environment Officer may be expected to present and provide training on the projects sustainability programme to a wide range of stakeholders including staff, clinicians and members of the public or colleagues from other organisations. Therefore, the post holder must be confident in planning and providing public presentations and delivering guidance, co-ordination and support on specific areas of the Sustainability Strategy as required. Acting as a positive and enthusiastic ambassador for the Sustainability team and Estates team, identifying and maximising opportunities for the promotion of the wider team and its work on a daily basis. Actively monitor Estates compliance on environmental matters and report at the monthly Estates Management Group meeting.
