About The Role:
To assist in furthering the company’s client base within the medical imaging world to gain business and orders with other turnkey main contractors. The company requires project manager support to cover works throughout the UK. The plan is to further grow the business in the medical imaging world – to hopefully become the largest and most successful supplier to the main turn-key contractors.
You will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Attend handover for new projects with relevant estimator.
2. Engage with design team – either in-house or possibly external to organise design works and input of information from site visits and surveys.
3. Carry out basic design works, AutoCAD drawings, and co-ordination.
4. Manage project from start to finish, including site attendance and attendance at commissioning stage.
5. Procure all materials and services.
6. Organise labour – either requests to office for ACVR’s own labour or organising sub-contractor labour.
7. Control project costs and manage valuations and cash flow.
8. Attend weekend/out of hours works if applicable and crane/lifting operations.
9. Provide necessary information for O&M Manuals and keep design/as-fitted changes for purposes of the ‘As Fitted Drawings’.
10. Set up systems and working practices.
11. Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and standardisation of project management practices. Share lessons learned and best practices across the organisation.
12. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including mechanical engineers, technicians, and contractors. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
