Fixed term/Secondment Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse to join the North Derbyshire Early Intervention Service, to support the team with their work with people experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
We are looking for a committed, dynamic, enthusiastic mental health practitioner to work within our friendly, supportive, multi-disciplinary and innovative team. This post is open to Registered Mental Health Nurses.
The post holder will work closely with people referred into the service and with their family members in order to promote optimism and potential around vocation and independence. We are looking for committed individuals who enjoy being part of a team and who value their therapeutic work. We all have a desire to make our Derbyshire wide Early Intervention Services the best we possibly can.
The post holder will act as a care-coordinator for a designated number of people who are experiencing psychosis for the first time in line with the national early intervention standards.
Main duties of the job
* Care co-ordinator for service users experiencing a first episode of psychosis and to have an active role in working with families.
* Be involved in ongoing learning in the team and with its goals and vision.
* To be willing to engage in appropriate training for the role.
* Take an active role in the clinical team meetings.
* Be able to travel across a wide area.

* Registered Mental Health Nurse.

* Experience working within mental health.
* Ability to build good therapeutic relationships based on trust and respect.
* Ability to work with other professional agencies.
* Willing to engage in appropriate training for the role.
* Must show evidence of assessment skills and managing risk.

* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Desirable
* Experience of mentoring/supervising others.
