We sell car parts and accessories to garages, traders, and the public.
We are looking for someone to join our close-knit team.
Working days are Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday and Mondays off).
Rate is £12 per hour, 40 to 45 hours per week (Approx £25,000 - £28,000 depending on hours).
We are a very busy shop with phones always ringing, customers walking in, deliveries coming in from suppliers, and stock that needs to be put away. There are stacks of purchase invoices that need to be entered. Lots to do, basically.
We are looking for a person who is confident and can use their own initiative, but also someone who is organized and follows procedures. You will need a good level of fitness because this is a manual role. Good IT skills are necessary; otherwise, you may find this job difficult.
You need to be able to speak to customers politely and with respect. You should find solutions to day-to-day challenges and have good knowledge about car parts, being able to identify parts using our catalogues on the PCs.
Primary Role:
* Generate purchase orders and enter invoices on the MAM Autopart system.
* Receive, check, and put away stock from suppliers. Report any discrepancies to suppliers (heavy lifting required).
* Dispose of cardboard and waste, keeping walkways clear.
* Vacuum the shop and wipe the shelves.
* Pick orders and keep them ready on the delivery shelf.
* Pack online sale orders ready for the couriers to collect.
* Stock taking and updating stock levels on the PC.
* Handle stock returns and warranty.
* Create new part numbers and pricing.
* If all delivery drivers are busy, you may have to occasionally deliver to nearby trade customers (Driving License required).
Secondary Role:
* Serve customers at the front counter, via phone or WhatsApp web.
* Find correct parts via the MAM Autocat catalogue and quote customers.
* Call account customers for payment.
* On Saturdays, you will have to work on the sales side at the front counter.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm.
Pay: From £12.00 per hour.
Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week.
