Job summary
We have recently brought the Enhanced Access service in-house and are looking for someone who can work alongside the Clinical Leadership & Development Manager to coordinate and support the service.
Enhanced Access is the provision of predominantly GP and Nurse appointments between the hours of - pm Monday to Friday and from - on a Saturday.
This role would be ideal for some-one already working in General Practice who has knowledge of the EMIS clinical system and is looking for the next step in their career.
There will be some requirement to support evening clinics and work occasional Saturdays to cover annual leave.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the on-going monitoring of our Enhanced Access service in terms of ensuring that rotas are created within EMIS, that all shifts are staffed and that appointments are appropriately utilised.
You will be the first point of contact for our member practices and the clinical staff for any queries relating to the service.
You will support the Clinical Leadership and Development Manager to produce information relating to appointment usage/service delivery that will support service development moving forwards.

We are a large Primary Care Network (PCN) incorporating 16 GP practices across the Nuneaton and Bedworth locality.
We have a workforce of more than 50 staff incorporating Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitioners, Physician Associates, Care Coordinators and Nurse Associates, amongst others.
We have a dynamic Senior Management team who have lots of ideas and initiatives of how PCN services can be developed, alongside a great support team.

Job Purpose/Summary
To take responsibility forthe day-to-day monitoring, organisation, and oversight of the PCN EnhancedAccess Service, and other programme responsibilities as part of the Leadershipand Delivery portfolio.
This will include workingwith member practices to develop processes that ensure delivery of servicerequirements that meets the needs of our Primary care Network and ensurescompliance with the Network Contract DES.
To support the PCNClinical Leadership & Development Manager to formulate the future roadmapand goal setting of the service to create a first-class service that supportsdemand and ensures patient experience.
The role will requireexceptional diary organisation skills, planning and flexibility to provideservice cover when required, and to ensure that service team staff have accessto required training, upskilling and development within their roles, includinga programme of induction and familiarisation to the service, locations andsystems used.
Work with the wider teamto ensure that the service, patients, their relatives, carers and staff have apositive experience when accessing and receiving care/services from the membersof the Primary Care Network, within the services that are delivered.
Main Duties andResponsibilities
EnhancedAccess
To work with the Clinical Leadership andDevelopment Manager, Out of Hours Care Coordinator, Enhanced Access Clinicians,Nurses, and administrative staff, alongside the member practices to ensureservice delivery, safety and effective utilisation of Clinical and non-clinicalappointments within the service offering.
This includes:
1) Ensure that sites from which the servicewill operate are available and compliant with regulation/CQC requirements.
2) Develop a workforce that meets the needsof the service and is appropriately qualified and trained in the way that theservice works.
3) Liaise with member practices and thirdparties (where applicable) to develop a service provision that supports memberpractices with access and capacity and supports the contractual requirements ofthe NHSE GP contract.
4) Day to day responsibility for rotas,clinician allocation to sessions, dealing with questions and queries fromPractices, Clinicians, and Patients or their advocates as required.
5) Ensuring all Clinical and Digitalsystems are fully functioning and effective, and where issues arise liaisingwith the providers to ensure a rapid and effective resolution is identified.
6) Participating in audit schedules forutilisation of appointments available and presenting these in data formats.
7) Developing ideas and plans fordevelopment of the Enhanced Access Service in order to support Primary Care andthe PCN Member practices further.
8) Maintain knowledge and understanding ofthe requirements of General Practice including QoF, IIF, Patient Satisfactionand Surveys, Capacity and Access and Winter pressures.
