Overview
Nomad Digital are currently recruiting for a Global Bid Manager to join our Bid Management department. The Global Bid Manager is responsible for managing bids and leading virtual bid teams. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, and gaining a full understanding of bid requirements and deliverables, to produce the highest quality bid documentation designed to win new business.
This role can be hybrid from the Newcastle head office or fully home-based in the UK with the ability to travel for the role when required.

Responsibilities:
* Project management of large complex bids to tight deadlines gaining a full understanding of bid requirements to produce the required deliverables.
* Lead virtual bid teams and manage timelines and deadlines effectively, ensuring timely submissions.
* Follow end to end bid process (from Go/No Go decision to handover to delivery post contract award), in accordance with Nomad’s corporate governance and policies.
* Work closely with the sales and business development teams to identify viable bidding opportunities in line with strategic goals and to support the consistency of strategy within the bid process.
* Liaise appropriately with organisations when communicating through online tender and procurement portals.
* Lead the completion of pre-qualification documents for PQQ stage.
* Meticulous planning and adherence to deadlines.
* Manage the analysis of the bid/no bid stage; lead the kick-off meeting; manage quality and commercial aspects of bid activities and cost drivers.
* Preparation of the bid documentation and deliverables; writing and content planning and satisfactory completion of proposals.
* Coordinate and prioritize multiple deadlines across various disciplines.
* Collaborate with technical experts, SMEs, and other bid contributors to gather information and to ensure accurate bid responses that align with the tender requirements and compliance standards.
* Proofread various inputs to bids and ensure sales and marketing content and bid templates are current.
* Obtain validations and approvals where required.
* Manage the risk register at bid stage.
* Consult with support functions to ensure risks, liabilities and cost drivers are identified.
* Assure the highest quality of bid submissions in creating professional bid documentation by formatting, editing, and proofreading.
* Documentation control aligned to Nomad Business Management System.
* Support sales in creating compelling bid presentations for clients.
* Customer interaction to determine requirements, clarifications, negotiations, and support bid presentations.
* Perform post bid submission reviews to promote continuous improvement.
* Contribute to the bid content library.
* General administration as required.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent qualification and/or experience.
* Best practice qualifications or experience, such as APMP Foundation Certification is preferable.
* High level of computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and experience with Visio and Microsoft Project is beneficial.
* Second Language is beneficial.
* Driver’s License.
* Rail, IT or Telecommunications experience is preferable.
* Experience working in a project-based environment.
* Proven experience managing the end-to-end bid process and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
* Experience of writing and editing bid responses and content.
* Must have 5 years’ minimum hands-on bid management experience.

* Proficient in leading bid presentations (client facing).
* Travel Required: Yes 25%
