Your Role: As a key member of our Operations Team, you will play a crucial role in managing your shift to deliver production output safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include: Health & Safety: Promote a positive safety culture and awareness. Participate in safety audits and checks. Conduct initial investigations and reporting for accidents, incidents, and near-misses. Enforce compliance with safe working practices (SOPs). People Management: Identify and support the training and development of direct reports. Ensure completion of all training requirements for all employees. Utilise resources in line with business priorities and safe working guidelines. Manage internal recruitment and agency resources. Implement effective absence management and individual performance management. Provide performance feedback and support employee engagement. Manage attendance and absences via the T&A system. Production & Quality: Maximise output in line with the production plan. Optimise outputs by reducing scrap levels, blend costs, and energy use. Manage labour costs and plan resources effectively. Ensure quality systems are followed and standards are met. Enforce 5S principles across all departments. Coordinate with engineering to balance repairs and operational output. Collaborate with planning to meet customer requirements. Ensure systems are operating effectively and data is accurately recorded. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to and communicate improvements in systems, practices, and procedures. Provide written reports on performance, including safety, people, and quality. Develop personal knowledge and skills. Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and company policy.
