The purpose of the Ward Clerk is to ensure that all patients admitted have all relevant documentation in place on arrival, ensuring that the Trust's electronic systems are kept up to date and that key elements of the patient's pathway are recorded on the relevant systems ensuring the patient's pathway is correct on arrival and discharge.
Main duties of the job
This post is to be based on the Ward 18 CCU at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, working Thursday and Friday.
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic individual to join our well-established team. The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, be keen to learn, be a great team player, and be self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team.
The post holder will be required to assist with all the admin and clerical duties the ward requires and may be required to work different days to cover annual leave.

Qualifications/Training
* GCSE English Language at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification or experience.
Knowledge and Experience
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
* Use of a large mainframe database/hospital CaMIS System.
* Experience working within a healthcare environment.

* Sensitive and professional.
* Able to work within a team environment.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of the Data Protection Act (1998).
