An exciting opportunity has arisen to join SAAE, we are actively seeking a dynamic and adaptable manager to proactively manage support contracts, project manage the procurement and implementation of new training equipment/facilities, develop and co-ordinate the availability of training support infrastructure and manage the small headquarters team of military and civilian specialists, to provide quality assurance, ensure instructor professional competence and administrative support, to enable effective training to occur. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible to the Head of Training Delivery for: Department leadership and management of HQ elements, functional management of 2x Warrant Officers and Line Management of 1x civilian EO band, counter signing responsibilities for 2x AO clerical staff. Responsible for facilitating the delivery of staff professional training and Military/Civil Aviation Authority competence training. Deputising in the absence of any of the other Training Managers within SAAE, for the Functional Management of military Instructors and Line Management of civilian Instructors. This may include the daily tasking of individual staff or giving direction to departmental leads and the recording of activity using schedule management tools. Responsible for the management of all equipment and training aids used by the school, ensuring audit process is effective, fault reporting and replacement is coordinated, planned and actioned. Ensuring the Quality Management system is effectively run by the Quality Manager, Administrative support is effective. Liaison with relevant contract managers to ensure contract-delivered training and support services are delivered to standard. Maintaining regular Lines of Communication with relevant stakeholders Responsible for ensuring the departments have completed their own audits and self-assessment activities, and, where required, corrective actions are developed and enacted. Coordinating with partner organisations to ensure the training pipeline is managed efficiently across the site which also hosts other schools. Functioning as Engagement Champion for the school in the wider Civil service environment. Lead interviewer for future Civil Service recruitment activities.
