About the Role:
The Associate Merchandising Analyst is a new position which will play a key role in supporting the merchandising function by analyzing sales performance, conducting market research, optimizing pricing strategies, and assisting in product development initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with design, production, e-commerce, and sales teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and profitable growth. Key Responsibilities:
Reporting & Analysis
1. Maintain and distribute weekly/monthly sales dashboards, product performance reports, and competitive landscape analysis.
2. Assist in developing analytical models to support merchandising strategy and business growth.
3. Track key KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
4. Build out reports on Sell-Through Rates and Stock Turns by product and category level.
5. Build and maintain a WSSI Report (Weekly Sales, Stock, and Intake).
Product Development & Assortment Planning
1. Support the creation and maintenance of product plans and systems throughout various stages of development.
2. Ensure SKU-level details are accurately maintained within product architecture.
3. Analyze classification, price point, and sales trends to inform new product decisions.
4. Collaborate with design, sales, and production teams to ensure assortments align with business objectives.
Inventory Management
1. Work closely with all channels to identify inventory demand, need and movements that need to be actioned upon.
2. Keep operating efficiency/flexibility/visibility for inventory across the direct to consumer business.
Competitive Research
1. Conduct ongoing competitive market research on product offerings, pricing, and positioning.
2. Develop reports summarizing findings and actionable insights.
Pricing & Profitability
1. Assist in the execution of pricing strategies, margin reviews, and optimization models.
2. Conduct analysis on pricing scenarios, validating price points based on sales volume and margin drivers.
3. Gather competitive pricing intelligence to support retail, cost, and margin targets for new products.
Operational Support & Ad-Hoc Projects
1. Support inventory and sample management processes.
2. Assist in preparing presentations and materials for key meetings, including product reviews and strategy discussions.
3. Respond to internal and external merchandising inquiries in a timely manner.
4. Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed to support business priorities.
Who You Are:
1. A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
2. A self-starter with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
3. Adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; candidates will be required to pass an Excel assessment.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
6. Passionate about the fashion industry and eager to grow within a dynamic and purpose-driven brand.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Degree in Business, Merchandising, Economics, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in merchandising, planning, retail analytics, or a related field.
3. Experience with inventory management tools and ERP/Merchandising systems is a plus.
