JE135: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Eltisley, Cambridge
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 Per annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The set-up, operation and running of the Packing and Warehouse departments.
Maintaining close communication links with Scheduling, Client Services and the Production
Management team to ensure work is completed on time and to customer specification and problems are resolved promptly and effectively.
Responsibility for the shift handover process including writing of comprehensive and informative shift reports.
Responsibility for the provision of KPI reports to Production Manager detailing performance on Employee efficiency, Stock utilisation directly associated with Packing and Warehouse departments.
Attending and fully participating in daily Production meetings including discussion regarding departmental challenges and initiatives, resourcing capacity and contributing to problem resolution.
Monitoring and controlling of stock so that minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained to cover the current workloads.
The supervision of maintenance of departmental machinery, to ensure consistent quality and output is maintained.
Supervision of departmental procedures & workflows, housekeeping and shift change over.
Reporting to the senior management all production issues which may affect the smooth and efficient management of the Packing and Warehouse areas
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in departmental processes, systems and procedures and implementing these whilst engaging stake holders and keeping them fully informed.
Allocation of all jobs to staff members and machinery within the departments, evaluating deadlines and requirements to ensure efficient and cost-efficient processing of work on time and in full.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience of working in a fast-paced production environment
Knowledge of the digital print market.
People management and workforce planning experience
Experience of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to manage a team, supporting team members and department managers
Good organisation skills and the ability to thrive in pressurised environments
Ability to multi-task and utilise resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment with tight timelines
Excellent attention to detail and a record of maintaining high quality standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated with a high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives.
Ability to build good, professional relationships.
Strong computer skills, with a willingness to carry out administrative duties and more complex challenges.
Proactive, can do attitude.
