Position Summary We are recruiting for a Labour Coordinator to join our Dalston Factory to deliver a labour plan that results in improved business performance, positively affecting efficiency, flexibility, and cost whilst delivering improvements in our labour planning process. Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafé, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffeemate. The factory is moving forward with continuous improvement principles and actively developing Lean/TPM processes so it's an exciting time to be involved. A day in the life of a Labour Coordinator Duties will include: - Organising optimum, forward-looking labour plan for the Dalston site considering skills, training, holidays, absence, restrictions, and Working Time Directive guidelines involving key stakeholders to achieve this. This will include Shift Managers, Line Performance Managers, Supply Chain Planners and external agency providers to facilitate the best allocation of Nestle employees at Dalston. - Responding to plant performance and any labour shortages by being the first point of contact to adjust and deliver the labour plan, prioritising in response to these variables. - Delivering a suite of Labour KPIs in line with the Factory Operational Master Plan. - Driving process and reporting improvements in the existing labour planning system (People Plan) to better utilise the system. - Improving and maintaining a skills development matrix for all employees to enable the system to mobilise the work force between departments. - Proactively challenging overtime & ensuring optimal planning to benefit cost, production & resource optimisation. - Ensuring timely collation of worked hours for our agency provider's payroll and subsequent payment of their invoices. What will make you successful To meet the challenging and rewarding demands of this role you will: - Be comfortable with multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment under pressure. - Be a self-motivated individual who enjoys a challenge, take ownership of own work and balance workload effectively. - Have a proven track record working in a role that requires attention to detail with an interest in process improvement. - Be competent in using Microsoft Excel and other IT software.
