Our client, an innovative financial services firm, is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have expertise within the wealth, investment, or asset servicing field in a Business Analyst capacity, across a multitude of programmes and projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to collect requirements, assess business processes, and convert them into technical specifications.
Essential Skills/Experience:
1. Experience as a Business Analyst, with experience in the SDLC
2. Mandatory experience in financial services or transfer agency
3. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
4. Familiarity with database concepts and SQL
5. Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio)
6. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies
7. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Core Responsibilities:
1. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and functional requirements
2. Conduct detailed analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement
3. Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and align with the company's technical architecture
4. Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope
5. Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams
6. Work with development teams to resolve any issues identified during testing
7. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage project dependencies and risks
8. Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
9. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from end-users
10. Facilitate communication and ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of project goals and requirements
11. Create detailed documentation, including use cases, process flows, and data models
12. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies that could benefit the organization
13. Develop test plans and test cases to validate that solutions meet business requirements
14. Conduct regular meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders informed of project status
15. Work with development teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs
16. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
17. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
18. Provide recommendations for enhancing existing systems and processes
