Staff are proud to work at the school and know they make a difference.” We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and positive Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This is a band I position for 39 weeks per year for 27.08 hours per week. The successful candidate will be expected to: Cover and lead class teaching across the school when appropriate, directing the work, where relevant, of other adults in supporting learning. Contribute to effective assessment and planning by supporting the monitoring, recording and reporting of pupil performance and progress as appropriate to the level of the role. Undertake any other relevant duties given by the class teacher and will Work with the pastoral team to promote inclusion and personal development of all pupils Use online systems to record, manage and evaluate the impact of provisions The successful candidate will: Be a dedicated professional with the ability to inspire children Be a team player with good interpersonal skills Enjoy working with young people and can develop good working relationships with them Have experience of supporting individual pupils, groups of pupils and covering classes Have the ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative Have a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for young people Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent Has a positive and flexible attitude Understands and is sympathetic to the needs of young people, including their social, emotional and mental wellbeing Has experience working with young people with SEND Is passionate about promoting independence, self-esteem and social inclusion for all Has experience of working across all three key stages (desirable) Has a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent (desirable); St. Paul’s CofE Primary School is committed to safeguarding children; successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and will be required to disclose all relevant information for appropriate safeguarding checks.
