We are currently looking for people like you to join as Activity Welfare Leader this summer to lead activities, excursions and welfare to our varied students. You should be: Out-going, approachable, caring and confident Able to engage a group of children Amazing at working as part of a busy team Open to progression and devleopment opportunities Main Tasks Activity Leaders plan, organise and implement a wide range of activities during morning, afternoon and evening activities. They ensure that activities are structured, engaging, accessible and enjoyable for all participants. Activity Leaders must ensure that students attend the set activities and attendance records are accurate. Activity Leaders set up and pack down each activity session ensuring all equipment is returned and they must report any damaged items to their line manager. Activity Leaders guide, entertain and supervise students on fun excursions. Pre arrival and departure checks and room damage surveys must be carried out on a weekly basis, as well as residential duties which includes meal supervision, lights-out duties, night-time patrols, room checks, and additional duties as required by the centre. SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES Where necessary share appropriate information with professionals and/or colleagues as may be required to keep everyone safe. Key Facts Reports to Team Leader/Programme Manager. 4-week contract with a potential extension. 42 hours per week. (You may be required to work in excess of 48 hours on occasion. You will be asked to ‘opt out’ of the 48-hour Working Time Directive). Residential option available with a deduction of £52.85 per week (£7.55 a day) from your weekly pay for full board and accommodation. Evening and weekend work required.
