In our clients words - The HR functions provides managers and employees with a range of services which include recruitment, onboarding, management support, performance support, disciplinary processes, payroll and support for staff wellbeing. We have recently been assessed by the National Centre for Diversity for Investors in Diversity accreditation. The Business Support Team is a recent amalgamation of our Quality and Facilities Teams. The Team deliver a plethora of services to the organisation including Health and Safety, quality assurance, a suite of ISO accreditations, Data Protection, Carbon Footprinting, management of our estate (multiple office locations), insurances and a fleet of cars. In addition to the development, management delivery of our Learning and Development Strategy and our online learning platform. The Head of People will have overall responsibility to ensure that the organisation is compliant with employment Law and that our HR and Business Support Team practices and procedures are continually adhering to best practice. Day to day responsibility and management of the HR Team is expected to be the majority of the workload but the Head of People will also be a key member of the wider Leadership Team and will be expected to be an contribute strategically to organisational wide developments and projects. The Head of People will be part of the senior management of the Strategy and Development Directorate and be an active participant in directorate and organisational wide projects. To lead and manage a value driven HR Function providing proactive support to teams across the organisation and within the group To oversee and ensure our HR and Business Support practices, processes, procedures and systems comply with law and best practice and ensure the organisation adheres to them. To lead and manage the payroll in partnership with the Finance Team To manage and oversee a range of HR functions and activities including employee relations cases, disciplinaries and performance management issues in partnership with our solicitors To oversee Learning and Development programmes To manage and oversee HR and Business Support budgets Effectively manage, support and develop the HR team members and Business Support Manager To be an engaged and proactive member of the Leadership Group to develop and enhance our culture and values and contribute to the strategic development of the organisation Profile An experienced HR professional who has ideally looked after other areas Job Offer A competitive salary and package
