Base pay range
Basic Salary £45,000 - £49,000 with benefits including 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, life assurance, employee assistance programme and wellbeing support, health cash plan (cash back on optical, dental, physio and more), free parking and refreshments at the Rugby Office.

Our client, a well-respected and reputable engineering internationally recognised membership body, is currently looking for a Volunteer Engagement Manager to work from their Rugby or London offices on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Institution’s efforts to ensure world-class engagement and retention of volunteers at all stages in the volunteer cycle through development of effective strategies and oversight of their implementation.
2. Ensure Institution-wide best practice for an excellent volunteer experience and effective use of volunteers through ongoing provision of expert advice and support.
3. Take a leading role in continuous improvement of volunteer engagement and retention activities and initiatives.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues and Trustees to provide oversight for implementation of robust policies and practices ensuring effective succession planning.
5. Ensure robust risk management strategies and practices are in place and embedded across all volunteer engagement activities.
6. Provide meaningful reporting on the impact of volunteer engagement for volunteers.
7. Provide oversight for continuous improvement of all volunteer training and development activity, ensuring alignment to ED&I ambitions.
8. Provide guidance on best practice in volunteer management and engagement practices across all areas of the Institution.
9. Maintain a clear understanding of volunteer needs through regular evaluation and use appropriate benchmarking.
Person Specification
1. Proven experience in the development and implementation of impactful volunteer engagement strategies.
2. Expertise in defining and driving strategies to achieve step changes in engagement.
3. Experience forming partnerships and networks with other organisations which bring mutual benefit.
4. High level of proficiency in risk management and mitigation.
5. Line management experience and ability to lead and motivate a team.
6. Demonstrable experience of delivering and reporting against ambitious targets, KPIs, budgets, and deadlines.
7. High level of IT literacy including common Microsoft Office applications, online conferences, web-meetings, and expertise in membership/customer databases.
8. Proven expertise in ensuring appropriate policies and practices to guarantee compliance with regulatory and legal obligations.
9. Expertise in developing and continuously adapting a dynamic range of volunteer training and competence assessment activities.
