How you'll make a difference
As a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Business Assistant, you will have a real opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of individuals who may not have a voice by providing administrative support to the service.
What you will be doing
* Daily, you will undertake specific established administrative tasks to support the work of our service and team.
* It will be your responsibility to process DoLS applications and maintain information and databases for use by other team members.
* It will be key for you to pay close attention to the detail and sensitivity required for inputting and retrieving information, relating to people we assess.
* You will use your customer service and communication skills effectively to respond to enquiries and raise any complex issues with senior staff as necessary.
What we need from you
* Ideally, you will have an NVQ2 or equivalent, in a related subject, eg business administration or will have a similar level of relevant experience.
* You will have practical experience of administrative processes and procedures.
* It is essential that you have good IT skills including knowledge of standard software packages and the ability to be trained on bespoke software and databases.
* Given the elements of the role, you will need to use your initiative and judgement to identify problems and raise them with senior colleagues as appropriate.
* You must be able to focus on customer needs and form good working relationships with colleagues to work well as a team.
What you need to know
* This is a part-time role, working 23 hours per week. Your salary is pro-rata to hours worked.
* This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Yate and working from home.
Interviews anticipated early April.
