Position : Replenishment Buyer (UK)
JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Replenishment Buyer role is a crucial part of the operation, responsible for ensuring we have sufficient stock available to cover customer forecasts and demand, whilst not exceeding stock holding in line with stock value targets.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager this role works closely with the Category Manager and Category Buyer to offer efficient re-cost support to the sales team within the agreed 48-hour timeframe.
You will be responsible for providing clear, accurate and up to date information in relation to all stock held, product codes and pricing to the business.
As part of the Procurement team this role supports Zeus to remain the leader in the marketplace with the support of key supply chain partners.
P RINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure optimal levels of stock are held for the category.
* Review minimum stocks/re-order-points and place POs as required.
* Review and consider customer forecast with the effective planning of stock.
* Plan and build orders volumes in relation to demand and goods in capacity, whilst recognising trends or patterns and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
* Working with the Category Manager/Buyer and Sales team on key lines & customer forecasting.
* Reviewing supplier spend reports and customer forecasting V usage and discussing with the relevant stakeholders to decide appropriate actions.
* Support the Category Manager and Category Buyer with creating and managing a progressive stock range, ensuring continued availability and alternatives where appropriate.
* Identify cost saving opportunities and more effective order quantities, liaising with the Category Buyer/Category Manager to re-cost.
* Updating the stock management system to ensure PO details including quantity and delivery dates are accurate, meaning the sales team always have the most up to date information.
* Order progressing, ensuring deliveries are due when expected and that customers’ needs are fulfilled without delay, keeping the sales team up to date with any delays and offering alternative solutions where necessary.
* Reviewing supplier service levels and keeping the Category Buyer and Category Manager up to date on any challenges with suppliers.
* Processing re-costs that come in via the Commercial inbox within the agreed 48-hour timeframe.
* Managing stock transfers between warehouses effectively, fully utilising vehicles where appropriate.
* Managing any order discrepancies and amending where required.
* Buying in accordance with our strategic supplier base.
* Associated admin tasks to support the role and wider Procurement team as required.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The role does not have line management responsibility.

This position is located at the Head office in Biggleswade
