As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality machined components, from raw materials to finished products. You will utilize your technical skills to operate CNC machines, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will play an active role in enhancing production processes while supporting internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently, adhering to all health, safety, and housekeeping standards. Interpret engineering drawings to machine components accurately within tight tolerances. Plan and schedule workload based on production targets, addressing any issues that could impact deadlines. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing solutions to improve processes. Accurately record job details, including time entries, and report any discrepancies in real-time. Ensure quality control by identifying and reporting defects and participating in quality investigations. Collaborate in team meetings and toolbox talks, contributing to discussions on production and process improvements. Assist in maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery, while promoting 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Provide coverage for holidays and absences by working overtime as needed, in line with business requirements. Take part in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field or working experience as a CNC Machinist. Good working knowledge of CNC machining centres and the oil and gas industry. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Desirable: Higher education in a relevant field. Experience with CNC lathes, CNC horizontal borers. Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or Emax. Shift Pattern: This role follows a 3-week rotating shift pattern with both day and night shifts, including shift allowances and the potential for overtime based on business needs. The shifts are structured as follows: Day Shift: 7AM to 7PM Night Shift: 7PM to 7AM Shift Rotation Example: Week 1: Mon-Tue-Wed Day shift | Thu-Fri-Sat Off | Sun Night shift Week 2: Mon-Wed Off | Thu-Fri Day shift | Sat-Sun Off Week 3: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu Night shift | Fri-Sat-Sun Off Why Join Us?
