The Role:
The primary purpose of the job holder is to produce tenders and supporting documentation efficiently and professionally to a high standard. This role is crucial in ensuring good working relationships with new and existing clients. You will be working closely with the Head of Estimating to ensure all tenders are reviewed prior to submission.
The Candidate:
Mechanical background and mechanical estimating experience is essential. A strong communicator with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
1. The role will be office-based working. Hybrid working may be considered dependent on location.
2. Manage tenders from enquiry through to submission.
3. Conducting surveys when required.
4. Reading and understanding the scope of works, specification, and drawings.
5. Attend meetings with clients and senior management.
6. Managing deadlines and carrying out estimates in a competent and organised way.
7. Provide value engineering solutions.
8. Liaise with Head of Estimating throughout the tender period.
9. Measure quantities from tender drawings.
10. Liaise with new and existing supply chain.
11. Produce handover documents and liaise closely with the projects team.
