About your team
The Fraud Prevention Team helps to protect Fidelity and our clients from fraudulent activity. The team performs a variety of oversight measures to ensure robust fraud prevention processes are in place throughout the organisation, as well as investigating instances of potential fraud.
About your role
This role will involve leading on various fraud prevention initiatives and delivering components of Fidelity’s 2LoD fraud prevention programme. Ensuring the effective delivery of fraud training, monitoring, and risk assessment activities will be important elements of the role, alongside providing regular advice, support, and oversight to various business units around fraud risks. It will include performing both proactive advisory and investigative activities.
The role will necessitate working closely with multiple internal business stakeholders and teams to implement new and support existing fraud prevention strategies. The role will also be a key point of contact for the business regarding fraud-related queries.
Responsibilities
* Supporting and leading on the execution of regular fraud monitoring reviews throughout the business
* Managing the performance of fraud risk assessments globally
* Producing and delivering appropriate fraud prevention training, ensuring that employees are aware of relevant fraud risks
* Performing horizon scanning to ensure awareness of relevant statutory and regulatory developments in relation to fraud
* Working independently, using initiative to offer practical, risk-based solutions
* Collating and tracking actions arising from fraud prevention oversight activities and reviewing evidence to satisfy their closure
* Producing activity reports summarising findings, highlighting control enhancements where necessary
* Collating and preparing appropriate fraud-related management information and commentary for senior management
* Providing subject matter expertise on fraud risks, creating and maintaining a high level of awareness throughout the business
* Building effective and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to promote the fraud prevention programme
* Maintaining, developing and creating departmental procedures, playbooks, and response plans
About you
The ideal candidate will:
* Have extensive fraud prevention experience, ideally within financial services and with an industry-recognised qualification
* Possess a deep understanding of best practices and procedures in fraud prevention
* Demonstrate subject matter expertise in fraud risk assessments, fraud training, and different forms of business oversight
* Be thoroughly acquainted with internal and external fraud risks and typologies within the asset management sector
* Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills. This candidate must be able to engage with individuals at all levels, including working with, and presenting to senior management in the organisation
* Be adept at planning, organising, co-ordinating and working well under pressure and to strict deadlines
* Demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Be comfortable working independently, displaying effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Be experienced in formal report writing, producing accurate, high-quality reports and summaries in line with defined deadlines
