What's involved with this role: Temporary Children’s Business Support Assistant/Admin Job Ref: Cheshire W 5250005 Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5pm Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire Proven minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role. The post holder will provide business and administrative support within Children’s Social Care. At each level the post holder will be expected to undertake any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade which will assist the Directorate in meeting its objectives or contribute to the post holder's personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide general administrative support including photocopying, filling, scanning, minute taking, developing and utilising standard letters and pre-formatted documents, PowerPoint presentations and reception duties to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of supports to ensure service needs are met and business levels maintained. Manage the respond to all enquiries to ensure prompt accurate communication standards are met and maintained. That up to date, accurate and relevant information is provided so that enquirers can be informed in their decision making. Input to and update service and customer data bases ensuring that the accuracy and integrity of the information is maintained. Retrieve and extract data in the form of summary reports, excel spreadsheets or word documents so that managers and external organisations and agencies can be assisted in their decision making to enable them to control budgets. Respond to feedback about performance in a positive and sympathetic manner identifying potential areas for improvement to systems, functions and activities and referring to an appropriate supervisor or manager ensuring quality standards and service needs are met and business levels maintained. Organise and assist in service and business process reviews and projects to ensure managers are supported in their planning to implement, streamlined, cost effective services. Undertake activities connected with supporting the work of the team ensuring they are properly operated to achieve optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
