Senior Public Health Officer- Adults (Addictions) Permanent Grade 5 : £40,221- £48,474 Working 36.5 hours per week (flexible working applies) This is a full-time position within the Addictions Team. The team leads on the strategic delivery of substance misuse services, tobacco control, vaping and gambling across Birmingham. This role is designed for someone who has a passion for improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of adults with addictions. You must have knowledge and experience of the health harms of drugs, alcohol, vaping and gambling. Being motivated, enthusiastic with good communication and written skills are essential for this role. This is an ideal opportunity for somebody who: Has experience of Public Health projects and programmes. Understands the need for holistic health and wellbeing interventions Experience of designing and implementing interventions in diverse communities. Has a non-judgemental approach to the populations they work with. Has experience, knowledge and understanding of Public Health priorities. Has experience of working in a busy environment working independently.
