Summary: This position acts on behalf of the Marine Corps as Programmatic Fire Fighting subject matter experts for cost, schedule, and performance for the planning, managing, and execution of procurement and requisitions of enterprise-wide Marine Corps Fire Fighting capabilities managed within the Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue (EFR) portfolio. Work is located at Stafford, VA. Off-site.
Job Description
* Serve as the Marine Corps Programmatic subject matter expert to advise, plan, and execute through the phases of the PPBE; examples are phasing plan development and execution, and POM planning for procurement and sustainment of current and future capabilities.
* Serve as the Marine Corps Programmatic subject matter expert in Risk, Issues, and Opportunities to support acquisitions and procurement. Be fluent in DoD and Marine Corps risk management and risk management systems such as Project Recon.
* Serve as the DoD and Marine Corps Acquisition Programmatic subject matter expert to advise for planning, managing, and execution of all programmatic-based functions and activities aligned with Marine Corps integrated product teams (IPT) for development and sustainment managed within the Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue portfolio.
* Execute support for Acquisition Programmatic-based functions and activities aligned with and managed within the Expeditionary Firefighting and Rescue portfolio. Examples of support are preparing and reviewing Marine Corps Acquisition Programmatic documentation, prepare and advise formal and informal tasks and requests for information, coordination with stakeholders both internal and external, operations within Joint CBRN and Marine Corps organizations, support fiscal planning and execution, support and execute schedule-based tasks and functions.
* Lead projects or tasks which involve tracking risk and providing constant status or process oversight.
* Manage, synchronize, and track multiple, complex, and cross-functional actions independently.
* Write, review, and staff high-level staff action papers, studies, policies, and acquisition documents.
Qualifications
* (2) years of experience in project management, DoD acquisition, or another related subject of comparable complexity and responsibility.
* (2) years of comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, with specific experience in effective use of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Word.
* (1) year of SharePoint related experience.
* Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences.
* Possess working knowledge of, and be fully conversant with, the acquisition processes and policies as outlined in the DoDI 5000.02, relating it to product development, production, and sustainment.
* Possess an ability to influence and shape acquisition streamlining.
* Possess knowledge of DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures, and practices.
