Role Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools throughout Stockport. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment by supervising classes during teacher absences. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector or those considering a career in teaching.
Salary:
Up to £100 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Ensure that students remain on task and complete assigned work.
* Provide support to students as needed, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
* Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring adherence to school policies.
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding student progress and any issues that arise during lessons.
* Assist with administrative tasks related to classroom management as required.
Requirements:
* A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students positively.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom management.
* Flexibility to work across different schools and adapt to various teaching styles.
