The IMR
The Independent Maternity Review (IMR) was launched in September 2022, following the closure of the previous thematic review, to consider the alleged failings in the Maternity Services at NUH for the period 2012 to 2022.
The current review is scheduled to last until September 2026, and will involve the transfer of records of over 2,000 women (plus babies), together with a range of supporting documents.
In addition, there are a number of associated processes, linked to but distinct from the IMR, which require close project management, and it is this growing complexity and variation, which has determined the need for this post.
The IMR Team within NUH is a small one, but has key relationships across the Trust, including at Executive level, as well as with NHSE, contractors and the external review team.
The review is very high profile publicly and has significant reputational implications for the Trust if not managed very carefully, and if key deliverables are not achieved. This post is pivotal in that regard and therefore offers a rare opportunity to contribute to a significant programme of work
