Are you seeking an exciting career in education?
Our wonderful SEN School based in Crawley caters for Primary aged pupils who have Autism, severe learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, mobility needs and ADHD. We are currently seeking full-time pupil mentors to join us as soon as possible!
As a pupil mentor, you will play a huge role in providing students with ongoing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support. Special needs can be challenging for young people to navigate, and pupils may struggle with sensory needs, focus, behavior, and social interaction; your role will involve boosting pupils' confidence, self-esteem, and passion for learning!
Day to day, you will be working either 1:1 or with small classes of pupils, working alongside a friendly class teacher and fellow support staff; delivering lessons and activities tailored to maximize pupil engagement and best support their needs. Lessons are specifically tailored to the pupil’s interests and abilities; meaning there will be plenty of arts and crafts, messy play with Play-Doh and paints, outside activities, etc! Staff are required to be energetic and physically fit, bubbly and charismatic, as well as resilient and reliable.
