The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Mechanical Engineering IQA (Internal Quality Assurer) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality and consistency of assessments carried out by our dedicated team of assessors. Your work will directly impact the growth and development of our business, ensuring our provision remains exemplary and compliant with awarding body and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct internal quality assurance activities to ensure the assessment team meets high standards and complies with all relevant requirements.
* Monitor and support assessors to maintain consistency and excellence in assessment practices.
* Drive improvements in quality and support assessors' professional development.
* Prepare and participate in external quality assurance visits, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence are readily available and compliant.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry and qualification standards.
* As a last resort, support with occasional teaching or assessing duties.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (essential) - applications from candidates with qualifications lower than Level 3 cannot be considered.
* D34 or V1 Verifier qualification (essential).
* Proven experience as an Internal Quality Assurer in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong understanding of current engineering assessment practices and quality standards.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
* A flexible and adaptable approach, with the willingness to take on teaching/assessing duties if required.
