About the Opportunity
As a key member of the leadership team reporting to the Division’s Executive General Manager (EGM), the Director, Policy and Innovation will shape the strategic direction, future opportunities, and priorities for SRLA. The Director will identify, elevate, and articulate a well-considered, coordinated approach to strategic policy areas across SRLA and related interfaces.
The Director will support the EGM and provide expert advice on key policy matters underpinning the delivery of the SRL. The Director will be responsible for driving SRLA’s policy agenda, including close engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders across all levels of Government and outside of Government to realise the productivity, connectivity, and liveability outcomes outlined in the SRL Business and Investment Case (BIC).
To be successful, you will be a results-driven, proactive individual, who consistently delivers timely results and demonstrates exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills. You will develop strong relationships with key public and private sector stakeholders as well as peak government, industry, and community bodies.
You will have a proven track record of designing, recruiting, developing, and motivating high-performing teams. The ability to work across different subject matter areas and communicate complex policy matters to government, senior executives, and key stakeholders is critical to succeed in this role.
