WORKSHOP ENGINEER (MECHANICAL BIAS) PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY, MONDAY TO FRIDAY WORKING (Apply online only) £32,000 P.A STARTING SALARY OVERTIME Our client is a well established business based in Kettering who are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to join their team. You will be working in a workshop which also couples as the company showroom. Working in a team of 5 engineers and 2 apprentices you will be a skilled mechanical bias engineer who has previously worked within a manufacturing role. You will have a strong mechanical mindset who is passionate about working with machinery and who can also be pro-active with problem solving. The Role Working with various types of machinery including Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Drills and CNC Machinery Manufacture replacement parts as and when required Perform fault finding and regular maintenance on machinery Perform inspection checks to meet quality standards Carry out MIG Welding and the Fabrication of parts when required Assemble install and maintain machinery to high standards Perform diagnostic checks and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Sometimes going out on site with service engineers to look at machinery at their client premisesExperience & Requirements A qualification in Mechanical Engineering. A strong mechanical mindset and passion for engineering. Ability to operate manual machinery. A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. The ability to MIG Weld. The ability to perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring and testing.
