Interviews to be held on 11/3/25 Main duties of the job Your role, requiring strong, professional leadership qualities, is critical to the quality of care, staff morale, and the learning environment including liaison with the unit manager, lead and co-ordinate a dedicated team and support staff to ensure the delivery of a high standard of nursing care. Your role as the Junior Sister/Charge Nurse requires you to assist in managerial duties, the day to day running of SDEC and supporting junior members of staff. You will provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, acting as a role model and supporting the Senior Sister in driving quality care provision forward, be responsible for standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area in partnership wit the Senior Sister and provide clear clinical leadership to staff, deputising for the Senior Sister in their absence. In the absence of the Senior Sister you will be responsible for the effective deployment of department resources including manpower, adherence to NMC Code of Practice at all times and ensure unit compliance with and application of hospital policies and procedures.
