We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Franchise team here at Greggs, as Head of Franchise. This role will lead the growth and delivery of our profitable franchise estate, working with corporate franchise partners who can deliver scale and outstanding brand standards.
* 25 days (5 weeks) annual leave, pro-rated, increasing with service (in addition to bank holidays), plus 1 additional floating day

About the role
* This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you’ll do
Customer Focus (Sales Growth)
* Business Plan creation complimenting the delivery of the overall Greggs business plan.
* Accountable for growing our franchise business both in terms of driving our extensive new shop and refit programmes and through supporting our partners to improve LFL sales across a 560+ franchise shop estate.
* Ensure that our partners deliver a customer experience aligned to expectations and drive improvements in Customer Satisfaction scores (CSAT).
Business Development
* Develop the optimum franchise partner base to ensure we deliver a network of franchise shops which maximise the potential of the overall company performance.
* Seek new partners and lead the negotiations for franchise terms.
* Ensure our franchise agreement and support material is fit for purpose by regularly reviewing the content.
Brand Responsibility
* Accountable for ensuring the implementation of agreed brand standards delivering compliant audit scores in Food Safety, Health & Safety, Customer Experience and overall brand execution across all franchise partners.
* Ensure brand initiatives and product launches are implemented in the franchise estate.
* Ensure that the growth of the franchise estate compliments the company operated estate, extending the reach of the brand to new customers.
* Work with franchise partners to deliver a People and Culture proposition that compliments the values of the Greggs brand.
Operational Excellence
* Deliver ongoing operational improvement by working across functions on developing operating standards.
* Work cross-functionally with colleagues, to integrate company operating practices into our franchise estate.
Marketing
* Accountable for the implementation of Brand marketing standards and plans through our partners.
* Drive customer loyalty through encouraging partners to embrace the Greggs App and increase the number of customer transactions using the App within franchise.
Leading the Franchise Team
* Lead the franchise team, role modelling the Greggs values, with high visibility promoting a culture of leadership, accountability and responsibility.
* Ensure the team has clear objectives, regular reviews, and personal development plans to deliver the business objectives and develop the team to their full potential.
* Ensure the appropriate coordination of functional support to deliver the overall Business plan.
Cost Control and Profit Responsibility
* Accountable for the production and delivery of the franchise sales and profit budget.
* Responsible for the margin delivered by franchise.
About you
We are looking for highly motivated, experienced and talented individuals with drive, who can demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a franchise leadership role or similar.
* Senior management experience within a multi-site retailer, leading large remote teams.
* A proven track record of delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Experience of managing and delivering a significant budgetary responsibility.
* Ability to think about the wider picture and make sound decisions.
* Experience of working with and influencing senior management and Operating Board.
* Experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning.
* Extensive vocational retail experience
