Role - Court Of Protection Solicitor (Newly Qualified / Sub 2 Yr PQE)

Responsibilities .
1. Ensure compliance with conflict checking protocols, file opening, and completion of client care protocols.
2. Progress cases according to client instructions, attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases for hearings.
3. Advocate on behalf of clients in Court of Protection hearings.
4. Deal with correspondence, manage Legal Aid Agency funding, bill Legal Help files, and prepare Certificated files for billing.
5. Comply with file closing and archiving protocols, handle administration tasks, record time accurately, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Achieve chargeable time and billing targets, support junior staff development, and ensure timely billing of files and private matters.
7. Engage in networking, business development, and training in line with Legal Aid Agency requirements.
8. Ensure files are compliant with Legal Aid Agency contracts and SQM standards, as well as with the firm's policies and procedures.
9. Report any issues to directors promptly.
10. Can apply focus to health and welfare.
