Role Overview:
As a Primary Tutor, you will work closely with students in the primary school age group to support their learning in core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and more. You will deliver one-on-one sessions, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to improve their academic skills and boost their confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in key primary subjects (e.g., English, Maths, Science, etc.).
* Assess each student’s individual needs and adapt lesson plans to meet their learning styles and academic goals.
* Provide clear, constructive feedback to students on progress and areas for improvement.
* Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to help build students’ confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
* Support students in developing essential skills, including reading, writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
* Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to tutoring methods as needed.
* Create a safe and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
Person Specification:
* A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE).
* Previous experience working with primary-aged children, either in a tutoring or classroom setting.
* A passion for teaching and helping young learners succeed.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt your teaching style to suit the needs of individual students.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver lessons effectively.
* A DBS check will be required for this position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
