Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team, the successful candidate will lead and manage multi-disciplined engineering resources, ensuring the optimisation of operational performance, compliance with quality management systems (QMS), and regulatory requirements. The Key Duties And Responsibilities Are Responsible to ensure appropriate systems are in place to schedule and prioritise the resources within the Engineering team to meet organisational objectives Establish appropriate governance processes to monitor and drive Engineering team performance and delivery of objectives Provide leadership to establish continuous individual professional and technical development for Engineering team Establish systems to ensure compliance with product specifications QMS and regulatory requirements Conceive and encourage the identification of and development of new techniques and materials for producing lower cost, higher quality products Provide financial and technical assessments to ensure Engineering related activities and project selection / deliverables are fully aligned with organisational objectives Drive a continuous improvement programme across the organisation which actively targets cost reduction, quality improvements, NPI, and operational efficiency improvement Actively demonstrate and promote best practices for EH&S compliance and lead initiatives for continuous improvement in this area Budgetary control and management of operational and capital expenditure to ensure optimum return for the organisation The successful candidate will possess; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Green Belt Six Sigma qualification or higher preferred. Extensive experience in Engineering Management at a senior level, ideally within a large-scale manufacturing organisation. Proven experience in strategic engineering project leadership. Strong understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
