ABOUT THE ROLE
Our award-winning client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple care homes within their Central Division.
This position will play a critical role in ensuring the homes run smoothly, by delivering high-quality care to our residents and meeting regulatory requirements. The Nursing Home Operations Manager will provide leadership to the nursing and care teams, ensuring that all staff work in harmony to provide excellent standards of care, safety, and wellbeing.
You will be looked upon to take on General Manager responsibilities and become a CQC Registered Manager if needed.
It’ll come under your remit to identify any concerns about the home through robust quality assurance, complaints, incidents, or accidents and implement improvements where possible. With the support of our Business Manager, you’ll also prepare an annual budget, manage all sales inquiries, and proactively promote the home in the local community.
Your leadership style will build a culture of robust performance management. By overseeing recruitment, training, motivation, communication, supervision, and appraisal, you’ll help to tackle any poor performance. At the heart of your leadership will be a determination to deliver quality care – in fact, you’ll be a role model who demonstrates person-centred care by building close and trusting relationships with residents.
ABOUT YOU
* Passionate about providing high-quality care and improving the lives of residents.
* Registered Nurse (RN) qualification or equivalent professional experience in the healthcare sector (preferred but not essential).
* NVQ/SVQ Level 4/5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred).
* Management qualification or significant experience in a senior operational/leadership role in a healthcare setting.
* Experience in leading and managing teams, including nursing, care, and support staff.
* Significant experience in managing budgets, financial planning, and cost control.
* Experience of working within a regulated environment with a strong understanding of CQC guidelines and other relevant regulations.
* Strong track record of improving care quality and driving operational efficiencies.
* Understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements, including fire, health and safety, COSHH.
* Proficient in IT systems, including MS Office and care management software, for record-keeping and reporting.
