Guidant Global is currently collaborating with a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, seeking to hire a skilled Goods Inwards Inspector who has completed an apprenticeship to ensure that the goods received from suppliers meet the purchase order requirements and are compliant in every aspect. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates, as it offers a chance for a contract extension or even a permanent position.
What we're looking for:
1. It is essential to provide a copy of your certificate for a formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship that is at least NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC.
2. "Or" Formal further education certificate to HNC/NVQ or equivalent certification.
3. Manual handling; ESD training.
4. SAP literate is desirable.
5. Must have inspection experience in a goods-in environment (highly essential).
6. Stores experience is highly required (mechanical inspector irrelevant)
What you'll get to do as a Goods Inwards Inspector:
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the received product meets the contract conditions. They will interpret assembly drawings, inspect parts, generate inspection documentation, and prevent defective items from being mixed with good ones. They will also manage defect reports, inspect PCBs, and adhere to manufacturing procedures for a safe and organised work environment.
