Teaching Personnel is looking for motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a mainstream primary school in Camberley, Surrey. This is a great opportunity to support the learning and development of students in a supportive and dynamic classroom environment.
The role involves 1-1 support with a student in year 5 who presents some behavioural challenges. We are seeking a highly motivated and resilient individual to build a relationship with this student at the earliest opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing 1:1 support to a student with additional learning needs.
2. Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
3. Supporting the student in completing assigned work and encouraging independent learning.
4. Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
Key Requirements:
1. Passion for education and helping students succeed.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with young people.
3. Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students.
4. Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is important.
5. A willingness to learn and develop new skills (training can be provided).
