Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Outsourcing Services team in Southampton. The primary responsibility of the Technology Assistant Manager is to support senior team members in our newly formed BOS technology team, including our client-facing proposition.
The technology team focuses on delivering internal projects to maximize efficiency and provide staff with tools to deliver excellent client outcomes. This includes projects like migrating to new accounts production software.
Your role will involve delivering these digital transformation projects, including involvement in our client proposition focused on cloud advisory opportunities, app stack advice, and migrating clients to optimal platforms. You will also have the opportunity to assist in managing a diverse client portfolio.
As an Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with the scoping, procurement, and rollout of technologies for internal use and successful project delivery across national teams, liaising with the technology group and wider BOS team.
2. Managing a client portfolio.
3. Ensuring clients receive efficient, proactive service and exceeding expectations throughout the year.
4. Liaising with client Partners and other S&W staff to keep all informed of relevant issues.
5. Planning schedules, booking staff, and overseeing review and completion of assignments.
6. Organizing staff on jobs, clarifying expectations and timescales, providing training, and giving constructive feedback.
7. Ensuring personal participation in appropriate training and development.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:
* Be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) or hold an international equivalent qualification.
* Have strong cloud technology or business change project experience within a professional services environment.
* Possess working knowledge of various cloud accounting applications and understanding of platform suitability for clients.
* Have strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, Partners, staff, and professionals.
* Be organized to meet the needs of clients, partners, and staff.
* Have experience working with entrepreneurial, SME, and high-growth clients.
